P3 Documentary is a free radio show that deals with interesting events in Swedish modern history. Today there are over a hundred episodes, each one is slightly over an hour long as podcasts. I subscribe to the program on iTunes. You also can download sections directly from the program's RSS feed .
Why is P3 Documentary good?
P3's documentary is a great way for me to relax; on löprundan, in the car, at the breakfast table or on their way to school. After 16 years in Swedish schools, most of our great contemporary crimes and hands passed me by. Of course I know the Palme murder (do not start with this P3 Documentary Section, it was not good) and the Estonia disaster . By skim headlines in the newspaper and follow rapidshare get decent track. In retrospect, it seems clear that I often just interests me of a topic just when the time comes and finds. The big picture is easy to lose!
P3 is a Documentary program that looks back, dig in the archives and talking to those who were there when it happened, where it happened. ( source )
Without being an expert on social issues, I think the program is fairly neutral. P3 The documentary is good at providing an objective look. Although the offender usually be interviewed in order to provide some sort of explanation for the big question, "why".
What are the Best Documentary P3-sections?
Here are my top five, unordered list of P3 Documentary Section. I have chosen to highlight the sections I like best in each genre.
"Economy / Economic Crime": Storvindeln on State Inheritance Fund

State Inheritance Fund logo
"In August 2007 the State Inheritance Fund an email:
Hi, I want to tell if a number of fraud cases where the following people involved to lure Heritage Fund for money. Two of these people have a habit of bragging about their outrage at the pub ...
This is the beginning of a police investigation that will become far larger and more complex than anyone had imagined. "
The section is about a lawyer who worked for the State Inheritance Fund and come up with the perfect crime: Testament Tera disinherited legacy for himself and friends. Some 60 million disappeared invisible and police said the crime had been water-tight unless an anonymous email tip received. Personally I think the story is incredibly interesting!
Also on the theme of economic crime: Trustor Hank , Fermentation , IT bubble
Serial killers: The mass murder of Falun

7 innocent victims of Falun
On June 11, 1994 in Falun played out Sweden's most extensive murder drama. Anyone who witnessed the impact was amazed at the same thing - everything was so quiet and peaceful.
The birds stopped singing only briefly when the bullets leaving Mattias Flink AK5: a in the warm dawn. In Sunday's P3 documentary you will meet include guard Jon Fredrik who cast Mattias from the pub, ambulance driver Kent Blomkvist who drove away the bodies and Mona Quick's office. Mona tried in vain to save the young woman in the bullet-riddled summer dress that had formerly been white. The documentary portrays a Friday night at a bar that went awry, a young man in crisis with an AK5: a and a legal penalties with newly written laws that did not work.
The sick of this section was to Mattias Flink each sentenced without any legal. Mattias Flink was mentally ill when the crime was committed and therefore could not be sentenced to imprisonment. When the judgment was to be preached was Mattias however, fully recovered and would not be sentenced to treatment. It should not happen that a person be convicted of something that does not have a law. For some reason stopped Mattias still in prison.

On the theme of where the law does not really works: Lars Kilstedt , Inheritance Fund
IT Security: The Swedish Hackers

Swedish hackers
During the 90th century, second half is a bunch of young tech-savvy guys in an apartment outside of Stockholm. A little tentative start to try to get into the computer systems of various government agencies and colleges in Sweden. But when you successfully manage to get into one system after another growing hunger for the ultimate challenge. A few months later, the man managed to enter in the American space agency NASA and the U.S. Air Force. The relevant authorities in the United States, it strikes like a bomb and soon the hunt is in full swing in the FBI and the Rikskriminalens IT crime squad in Stockholm. P3 The documentary tells the story of the case with the Swedish hackers "Fragglarna" that could have ended with the sentence in the U.S. for up to 60 years.
If you are interested in IT or generally use the Internet, think about safety!
Gangs: Combat League
Military League
It was in the early 90s that the Military League conducted their raw series in Sweden. With military precision and heavy armament, they beat to the post office and banks in small towns across the country. The carefully planned robbery, police and investigators powerless in the hunt for the perpetrators.
Military League is a section that tells much of the robber's point of view. A gang of carpenters were bad with money and decided simply to start robbing banks. Weapons were taken from a military store. I find it incredible that ordinary Svensson, who made military service can take on something like that. Definitely a good story!
On the same theme: Örnligan , Lidingö league and the case of Lars Kilstedt
Sections that made me cry: Swede in Bolivia
Jonas Andersson's life was during a chaotic period, with drug addiction and debt. In a desperate attempt to arrange
Bolivia
up their lives financially he goes to Bolivia to smuggle home three kilograms of cocaine into Sweden. But his life turned upside down when he is arrested at the airport in El Alto in Bolivia and sent to one of the toughest prisons in the country. When, after many years returns to Sweden, with his wife and children. P3 The documentary portrays the drug trade in Latin America and Bolivia, and how those at the bottom of the hierarchy are fighting for their survival inside the prisons.
This story is incredible. Once again, the perpetrator was interviewed, this time after being held by a knarksmugglingsdom on one of the world's most dangerous and toughest prisons. The story is very valberättad and touching.
On the same theme: The murder of Anna Lind , disco fire
