I've been thinking a bit on the system that almost all countries, that is reasonably sensible, applies namely an elected democracy. This involves an elected parliament or parliament, vote for the electorate. The only question is how good this is? Constantly pops up new scandals. Politicians are doing is not, so it is just. Just look at Vanja Lundby Wedin and British Laybour .
Another problem is that the interest in becoming politicians is low, which means that the most competent persons are not in the correct sequence. There is thus no wonder that politicians causes trouble for it and that there are so few who vote in European elections.

Democracy - An ancient Greek invention from 550 BC The figure stands Poseidon with a fish in his hand at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg.
Democracy comes from the concept demos (the people) and Kratos (control) and dates from the beginning from Greece. To appoint representatives to vote on the proposal was innovative year 550 BC, but it is hardly in 2009.
How Sweden should be controlled in 2009?
Sweden is a country that usually stay at the forefront in many ways. We are a long frame with ICT and broadband networks, well-educated and talented in many ways. Why should not we be the first of the new age Democracy with IT?
Let me explain. My idea is a system with fewer politicians. Perhaps half of what it is today, which should give lower overhedkostnader. All citizens have an account in a portal where they log on and vote on various issues. Just like a quiz: What do you think of this question, how much of our finances will be on health care or how high should the tax be?
All must go in and vote with one vote, just like all get to vote and our fourth year. With the information society is no longer a need for key printers. Anyone can press the button on the computer. Or why not integrate it as a service of the digital receiver. 21.30, up to date is the end of today's information, all are now voting on what to do!
What are the problems and obstacles to a broader democracy with IT?
- Security - How to ensure that everyone only votes once. The system may be subject to intrusion.
- Not everyone has broadband and TV - This is a major problem causing bias in the voting. A certain group of people can not vote. During the elections ignore 50% of the population to vote in some countries. However, this is mostly a matter of interest and not an accessibility or cost issue. All old can not handle new technology. The solution is to continue with the popular vote but to gradually move to the new era, Democracy of IT. Major "referendum" can easily be held every other week, as everyone can get to a library, after a time the society will be sufficiently developed for a full transition . Imagine yourself in today's youth who are already familiar with the Internet becomes old, then there are no barriers!
- Maintaining law and order must still be made by an authority. There must be an administration behind the system. How it should look like, I can not answer, but is a matter for further research. What do you think? Comment.
