Applications for summer jobs
Hello!
I am looking for a summer job during the period 9 June to 18 July 2009 (happy to discuss dates, but preferably at least 6 weeks).
Currently I am reading my sixth semester at the Master program Industrial Engineering at Chalmers University, Gothenburg (300 hp). The program mixes combine economy with technology and the I-engineer is intended as a bridge between these two necessary parts of a company.
Student, I took the spring of 2006 on the ABB Industrial Gymnasium in Västerås, after reading a 3300 points wide training including language, technology, IT, science, communications and economics.
My previous work experience consists stord part of the work and practice at different ABB divisions, of which my last job at ABB FACTS was to put up a databs and write some classes for communication between Matlab and Word. In addition to the Facts, I have a variety of tours worked at ABB University, Motors and Bombardier, which I helped to keep statistics on production (number of defective products, errors from suppliers, six sigma, etc.). My longest employment was at the ICA's central warehouse in Västerås where I as a truck driver packed food that would be distributed to various outlets in the country.
In the winter of 08 I did a job is a professor in the Department of Industirell Economics at Chalmers. Work was
on gathering data from a large sample of Swedish companies mostly standardized telephone interviews. I have also helped with material for the course Innovation Economy, offered by the department. The work was autonomous and required original thinking, which I think suit me.
In addition to internships and summer jobs that I have had in Sweden, I also spent a summer in New Zealand (2005). I worked for three weeks, Twin Lakes engineering / sheet metal, which is a company outside of Wellington. Throughout my stay in New Zealand and my Swedish experience has taught me a lot, both technically, as to how people behave at various sites in different countries. In New Zealand, I learned, among other things to weld with MIG. My journey has meant a lot to me and how I look at life today.
Ever since my stay in New Zealand I have tried to come abroad again. In 2010, I have applied for and been accepted to the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. My plan is to read a year of my master's in Sydney and then come home and finish my degree in Sweden. I have great hopes for my exchange year in Sydney, both of training on culture, nature and my own ability to develop.
Properties that are important no matter what work you do is willingness to work and accuracy. I believe myself that I am both calm, thorough and willing. I enjoy meeting new people and work well with others in the project, where I like to take a lot of responsibility. I am also knowledgeable in the data area as I see IT as OFF-YEAR ELECTIONS. This summer, I have 30 points IT in my CV.
I myself am a pretty easy going and nice person. In my spare time I try to activate as much as possible at exercise and exercise regularly. In 2008, I conducted a Swedish classic in 24 hours and plan to do a faster pace this year. When I get time I also like to play golf.
At Chalmers, I have in addition to training also involved me in the association Intize (07/08). Intize is a scheme that began when the last natur-/teknikklasserna was about to be closed at Angeredsgymnasiet. The business is to be supportive mathematics mentor for a number of interested students. In the autumn of 08 I was part of an expansion team which aims to expand its operations against the high school.
In 2009, I committed myself as a tutor for the course Programmed System, which goes for the ones of Industrial Economics. The course covers basic java and software engineering. As a supervisor I work much like my role in Intize, ie as an aid to students. I also have responsibility for the examination of the required exercises.
Finally, I should also mention that I have a driving license and truck license. I look forward to a summer job with you, and hope to soon hear from you.
Sincerely,
David Gustafsson
